Lucknow to Get 12 Flood Pumping Stations Along Green Corridor to Tackle Waterlogging

The Lucknow Development Authority has proposed the construction of 12 flood pumping stations along the Green Corridor, stretching from IIM Road to Kisan Path. This initiative aims to combat waterlogging issues in areas adjacent to the Gomti River, especially during heavy rainfall and periods of rising river levels. A survey identified key accumulation points, and the LDA has submitted its report to the state government. Eight stations will have a capacity of 400 kilolitres, and four will have a capacity of 600 kilolitres, with the project costing Rs 148.87 crore.

लखनऊ विकास प्राधिकरण (LDA) ने IIM रोड से किसान पथ तक फैले ग्रीन कॉरिडोर के साथ 12 फ्लड पंपिंग स्टेशनों के निर्माण का प्रस्ताव दिया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य गोमती नदी के किनारे के इलाकों में जलभराव की समस्या से निपटना है, खासकर भारी बारिश और नदी के जलस्तर में वृद्धि के दौरान। एक सर्वेक्षण में जल जमाव के मुख्य बिंदुओं की पहचान की गई है, और LDA ने अपनी रिपोर्ट राज्य सरकार को सौंप दी है। आठ स्टेशनों की क्षमता 400 किलोलीटर और चार की क्षमता 600 किलोलीटर होगी, इस परियोजना की लागत 148.87 करोड़ रुपये होगी।
