Uttar Pradesh Launches World Bank-Backed UP-AGREES Project For Agricultural Growth

Uttar Pradesh is set to transform its agricultural sector with the World Bank-supported UP-AGREES Project, aiming to boost productivity and farmer incomes across 21 districts in Eastern UP and seven in Bundelkhand. The initiative received a boost with MoUs signed with Google, Network for Humanity, ITC, and Aquabridge, integrating technology, digital infrastructure, and market systems. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated the project moves beyond mere production to make farmers active participants in the modern agricultural scenario.

उत्तर प्रदेश विश्व बैंक समर्थित UP-AGREES प्रोजेक्ट के साथ अपने कृषि क्षेत्र को बदलने के लिए तैयार है, जिसका लक्ष्य पूर्वी यूपी के 21 जिलों और बुंदेलखंड के सात जिलों में उत्पादकता और किसानों की आय को बढ़ाना है। इस पहल को Google, Network for Humanity, ITC, और Aquabridge के साथ समझौता ज्ञापनों (MoUs) पर हस्ताक्षर के साथ बढ़ावा मिला, जिसमें प्रौद्योगिकी, डिजिटल बुनियादी ढांचे और बाजार प्रणालियों को एकीकृत किया गया। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने कहा कि यह प्रोजेक्ट केवल उत्पादन से आगे बढ़कर किसानों को आधुनिक कृषि परिदृश्य में सक्रिय भागीदार बनाता है।
