The BBC has asked a judge to compel U.S. President Donald Trump to set a firm date for his deposition in a $10 billion defamation lawsuit. Trump's lawyers had initially agreed to an October 16 deposition but later proposed rescheduling to January. The British broadcaster's legal team is seeking to address the issue at an October 22 hearing. The case, stemming from a BBC documentary editing Trump's speech before the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack, is scheduled for trial in February 2027.
