केरल सरकार ने 'ऊमन चांडी स्वास्थ्य बीमा योजना' के लिए एक विस्तृत प्रोजेक्ट रिपोर्ट तैयार करने हेतु एक तकनीकी समिति बनाई है। यह योजना, जो चुनाव का एक अहम वादा थी, ₹25 लाख तक का बेहतर स्वास्थ्य बीमा कवर देगी। इस समिति की अध्यक्षता स्वास्थ्य और परिवार कल्याण के प्रधान सचिव करेंगे, जिसमें वित्त, योजना विभागों के अधिकारी और बीमा विशेषज्ञ भी शामिल होंगे। यह योजना का डिज़ाइन, कवरेज और वित्तीय व्यवस्था तय करेगी।
