Doctor Explains Season Change Allergy Triggers And Home Management Tips

HT - Lifestyle · lifestyle

Respiratory medicine expert Dr Rominder Kaur explains that seasonal allergies, often mistaken for colds, are a common reaction to changing weather. Allergic rhinitis occurs when airways inflame due to triggers like colder, drier air, dust mites, mold spores, and pollen. Symptoms include sneezing, itching, runny nose, and cough. Unlike colds, allergies typically lack fever and body aches but can cause itchy eyes and persistent symptoms. Dr Kaur advises managing allergies by washing bedding in hot water and drying it in sunlight to reduce dust mite exposure.
