Devotee Surge Causes Temporary Medicine Shortage At Durga Temple Camps

The Hindu · india

A higher-than-expected turnout of devotees at the Kanaka Durga temple on Indrakeeladri in Vijayawada on Sunday, October 11, led to a temporary shortage of medicines at some medical camps. Several camps ran out of paracetamol by the afternoon due to the large number of people seeking pain relief. While stocks were replenished, one camp waited over two hours for supplies. Temple authorities reported around 90,000 devotees visited by 6 p.m., significantly more than the previous year, prompting plans for larger medicine supplies in the coming days.
