Fans are expressing disappointment and anger over reports that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's cameo scenes have been significantly reduced or cut from the recently released film Jailer 2. The film, starring Rajinikanth, has achieved significant box office success, becoming the second-highest-grossing film of 2026. Mohanlal's costume designer, Jishad Shamsudeen, confirmed that scenes were indeed removed, stating his unwillingness to participate in a potential Jailer 3 if such cuts persist. He described the decision as unnecessary for an actor of Mohanlal's stature.
