The Hindu · india
Thousands of guest teachers from across Haryana participated in a 'Nyay Yatra' rally in Kurukshetra, marching towards Chandigarh to demand the regularisation of their services. The teachers are seeking implementation of the state government's three-year regularisation policy, citing Supreme Court and Punjab and Haryana High Court rulings that upheld its validity. Despite multiple rallies, memoranda, and talks with the government, no resolution has been reached. The protesters aim to submit a memorandum to the Haryana Governor and all 90 MLAs, demanding benefits with effect from June 2014.
