The upcoming film 'Ramayana', starring Ranbir Kapoor, is generating buzz around its characters. Vivek Oberoi portrays Vidyutjihva, a lesser-known figure from the epic. Vidyutjihva was a powerful Asura warrior from the Kalkeya lineage and was married to Ravana's sister, Surpanakha. Their union, a Gandharva marriage, was opposed by Ravana due to existing animosity and differing allegiances. Vidyutjihva's death occurred during a battle with Ravana, profoundly impacting Surpanakha and fueling her resentment towards her brother.
