ED Arrests Two Accused in Rs 1,417 Crore Investment Fraud Case

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested S Naveen Kumar and S Muthuselvam in connection with an alleged ₹1,417.86 crore investment fraud. The agency claims funds collected from approximately 35,759 investors were routed through over 100 bank accounts and disguised as business expenses. Naveen Kumar, proprietor of Unique Exports, is identified as the alleged mastermind behind schemes promising high returns. The ED found significant amounts recorded as salary and commodity payments despite minimal actual business activity, indicating a money-laundering operation.
