Texas Prosecutor Dies During Predator Sting Operation

Bill Conradt, a Texas prosecutor, died by suicide in November 2006 during a sting operation by NBC's To Catch a Predator. Police and the show's crew went to his home after he allegedly exchanged sexual messages with a decoy online. Conradt refused to open his door, and as authorities forced entry, he shot himself. He was pronounced dead at Parkland Memorial Hospital. A film starring Robert Pattinson as host Chris Hansen is set to revisit this 2006 event.
