Times of India · india

Congress workers in Calangute have demanded that the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC) speed up ongoing infrastructure projects to prevent further accidents. This demand follows the tragic death of a 32-year-old man who fell onto exposed construction rods near Calangute market. The workers also called for compensation for the victim's family, alleging delayed medical assistance contributed to his death. Local leaders have blamed GSIDC chairperson and MLA Michael Lobo for the incident, questioning the lack of safety measures and demanding action.
