Varanasi Road Widening: 10 Buildings Demolished Near Kutchehri Golghar

In Varanasi, authorities have demolished demarcated portions of ten buildings near the Kutchehri Golghar crossing as part of the Kutchehri-Sandaha road widening project. The drive aims to remove structures obstructing traffic on the busy stretch. Under the Rs 317 crore four-lane project, portions of around 425 buildings were marked for removal. Officials stated that 16 buildings had not been cleared by owners despite notices, with some also marked as dilapidated. The widened corridor is expected to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time, and enhance connectivity.

वाराणसी में, कचहरी-संदाहा सड़क चौड़ीकरण परियोजना के तहत अधिकारियों ने कचहरी गोलघर चौराहे के पास दस इमारतों के सीमांकित हिस्से गिरा दिए हैं। इस कार्रवाई का मकसद व्यस्त सड़क पर यातायात बाधित करने वाली संरचनाओं को हटाना है। 317 करोड़ रुपये की चार-लेन परियोजना के तहत, लगभग 425 इमारतों के हिस्सों को हटाने के लिए चिह्नित किया गया था। अधिकारियों ने बताया कि नोटिस के बावजूद 16 इमारतों को मालिकों ने खाली नहीं किया था, और कुछ को जर्जर भी घोषित किया गया था। चौड़ी की गई सड़क से यातायात सुगम होने, यात्रा का समय कम होने और कनेक्टिविटी बेहतर होने की उम्मीद है।
