Karnataka Restricts Deepavali Fireworks To Two Hours Daily

Karnataka has mandated that fireworks can only be burst between 8 PM and 10 PM from November 8 to 10 during Deepavali. This directive aligns with Supreme Court guidelines to reduce noise and air pollution. The state government also stressed that only 'green crackers' with specific markings and QR codes are permitted. District authorities are tasked with enforcing these rules, preventing fireworks near sensitive areas, and forming task forces to inspect cracker stocks. Awareness campaigns will also be conducted to promote eco-friendly celebrations.

कर्नाटक ने आदेश दिया है कि दीपावली के दौरान 8 नवंबर से 10 नवंबर तक पटाखे केवल रात 8 बजे से 10 बजे के बीच ही फोड़े जा सकते हैं। यह निर्देश शोर और वायु प्रदूषण को कम करने के लिए Supreme Court के दिशानिर्देशों के अनुरूप है। राज्य सरकार ने इस बात पर भी जोर दिया कि केवल 'ग्रीन क्रैकर्स' ही अनुमत हैं जिन पर विशेष निशान और QR कोड लगे हों। जिला अधिकारियों को इन नियमों को लागू करने, संवेदनशील क्षेत्रों के पास पटाखे रोकने और पटाखों के स्टॉक का निरीक्षण करने के लिए टास्क फोर्स बनाने का काम सौंपा गया है। पर्यावरण-अनुकूल उत्सवों को बढ़ावा देने के लिए जागरूकता अभियान भी चलाए जाएंगे।
