Tata Trusts VPs Challenge Noel Tata's Plan to Merge Subsidiaries

Tata Trusts vice-chairmen Venu Srinivasan and Vijay Singh have questioned chairman Noel Tata's proposal to merge two Tata Sons subsidiaries into the holding company. They stated that the plan was pursued without the approval of the boards of the trusts that control Tata Sons. In a letter, they highlighted that no board meetings were held to consider the proposal and questioned if it represented the institutional position of Tata Trusts.
