Crude Oil Spike Drags Rupee, Nifty Dips

India's benchmark stock indices, Nifty 50 and Sensex, experienced a significant decline on Tuesday, hitting their lowest levels since early April. This downturn was primarily driven by a sharp increase in crude oil prices, which pushed Brent crude above $108 a barrel. Consequently, the Indian rupee weakened against the US dollar, reaching nearly 96 per dollar. Higher global bond yields also contributed to market anxieties, exacerbating concerns over inflation and potential interest rate hikes.

मंगलवार को भारतीय शेयर बाज़ार में बड़ी गिरावट आई। Nifty 50 और Sensex दोनों ही अप्रैल के बाद अपने सबसे निचले स्तर पर पहुँच गए। इसकी मुख्य वजह कच्चे तेल की कीमतों में तेज़ी थी, जिससे ब्रेंट क्रूड $108 प्रति बैरल के पार चला गया। इससे भारतीय रुपया भी डॉलर के मुकाबले कमज़ोर होकर लगभग 96 पर आ गया। बढ़ती वैश्विक बॉन्ड यील्ड्स ने भी बाज़ार की चिंताएं बढ़ा दीं।
