India Launches Digital Tourism Infrastructure Project

The Indian government has launched a project to build a national digital public infrastructure for the tourism sector. This initiative, developed in collaboration with ONDC, aims to create a shared digital space for accessing various tourism products and services. By the end of 2028, the project targets onboarding 23,000 tourism experiences and homestays, making them discoverable and bookable. The National Digital Tourism Stack will integrate offerings like flights, hotels, and local experiences onto a unified platform, simplifying travel planning for tourists.
