Kalicharan Banerjee, former OSD to ex-mayor Firhad Hakim, has been granted bail 105 days after his arrest in connection with the Taratala warehouse collapse that killed 16 people. He is the second person to receive bail in the case, following a sub-assistant engineer arrested for negligence. पूर्व मेयर फिरहाद हाकिम के पूर्व ओएसडी कालीचरण बनर्जी को तारातला गोदाम ढहने के मामले में गिरफ्तारी के 105 दिन बाद ज़मानत मिल गई है, जिसमें 16 लोगों की मौत हुई थी। वह इस मामले में ज़मानत पाने वाले दूसरे व्यक्ति हैं, इससे पहले लापरवाही के आरोप में गिरफ्तार एक उप-सहायक अभियंता को ज़मानत मिली थी। एक बड़े फेरबदल में, कोलकाता नगर निगम ने हाल में हुई ढांचागत दुर्घटनाओं और आग लगने की घटनाओं के बाद जांच के बीच भवन विभाग के महानिदेशक सहित कई शीर्ष अधिकारियों का तबादला कर दिया है।
