Cyclone Murasu Claims Four Lives in Andhra Pradesh As Heavy Rains Batter Coastal Districts

The death toll from severe cyclone Murasu in Andhra Pradesh has risen to four following two more fatalities in rain-related incidents. The cyclone has weakened into a depression, but heavy to extremely heavy rainfall persists across coastal districts, severely disrupting normal life and damaging infrastructure. Two individuals died in Bapatla district due to falling debris and a water tank collapse, while two others perished in Guntur district from a landslide and rockslide. Authorities are investigating two additional reported deaths.
