The Adani-managed Mumbai airport operator has reiterated its plan to restrict capacity by the equivalent of 5 million passengers annually from April 2027. This move aims to manage operations during the redevelopment of Terminal 1. Airlines are unwilling to shift international flights to Navi Mumbai or surrender existing slots without clear justification. The airport operator suggested airlines could shift operations to Navi Mumbai, temporarily suspend them, or find other alternatives. Another meeting is scheduled for October 28 to address the ongoing deadlock.
