Adam Hamilton has won the US Senate race in Kansas, unseating Trump-backed Republican Roger Marshall. This victory marks the first time in 94 years a Democrat has been elected senator from Kansas. The win provides a significant boost for the Democratic party in their efforts to gain control of the Senate. Hamilton, a pastor, campaigned on affordability and bipartisanship, positioning himself as an independent-minded Democrat. The race was closely watched as Democrats aimed to flip seats in a traditionally Republican state.
