Amazon has reportedly laid off at least 100 employees in India as part of its latest global job cuts, primarily affecting retail and customer service roles. Globally, fewer than 1,000 employees were impacted across customer service, selling partner support, and engineering within Amazon's Stores business. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed the difficult decision to eliminate a small number of roles due to structural changes. This latest round follows two significant previous layoff events in India, impacting thousands of employees since November 2025.
