Karnataka HC issues notice on MLA asset non-disclosure

The Karnataka High Court has issued a notice to the Election Commission of India and Srirangapatna MLA A.B. Ramesha Bandisidde Gowda. This follows a petition challenging a special court's decision to reject criminal prosecution against the MLA. The petitioner alleges the MLA failed to disclose two immovable properties in Mysuru in his 2023 election affidavit. The special court had previously ruled that only the ECI could file such a complaint.
