RBI Approves Anup Bagchi and Anup Kumar Saha as New CEOs for HDFC Bank

The Reserve Bank of India has approved the appointments of Anup Bagchi as the new MD & CEO of HDFC Bank and Anup Kumar Saha as the new CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank. Both individuals are 55-year-old IIT-IIM alumni and veterans of ICICI Bank, ending succession uncertainties at the two major private sector lenders. Bagchi, who has over 30 years of experience, will take over HDFC Bank, while Saha, with over 32 years of experience, will assume leadership at Kotak Mahindra Bank from January 1, 2027.

भारतीय रिजर्व बैंक ने HDFC Bank के नए MD और CEO के तौर पर अनुप बागची और Kotak Mahindra Bank के नए CEO के तौर पर अनुप कुमार साहा की नियुक्तियों को मंजूरी दे दी है। दोनों 55 वर्षीय IIT-IIM एलुमनाई और ICICI Bank के दिग्गज रह चुके हैं, जिससे इन दो बड़े प्राइवेट सेक्टर के बैंकों में उत्तराधिकार की अनिश्चितता खत्म हो गई है। 30 साल से ज्यादा का अनुभव रखने वाले बागची HDFC Bank का नेतृत्व करेंगे, जबकि 32 साल से ज्यादा का अनुभव रखने वाले साहा 1 जनवरी 2027 से Kotak Mahindra Bank की कमान संभालेंगे।
