Uttarakhand minister Subodh Uniyal confronted singer Daler Mehndi on stage during the Kunjapuri fair in Tehri district, alleging the artist was consuming alcohol. A video of the incident shows Uniyal questioning Mehndi's ability to sing, stating, "You cannot even speak." The minister expressed disappointment, telling Mehndi that performing under the influence was inappropriate for someone with his stature. Mehndi was performing at the religious and cultural gathering when the minister intervened. The minister asked Mehndi to leave the stage, criticising his performance and calling it disrespectful to the audience.

उत्तराखंड के मंत्री सुबोध उनियाल ने टिहरी जिले में कुंजपुरी मेले के दौरान मंच पर गायक दिलेर मेहंदी से कथित तौर पर शराब पीने को लेकर सामना किया। घटना का एक वीडियो दिखाता है कि उनियाल ने मेहंदी की गाने की क्षमता पर सवाल उठाते हुए कहा, "आप बोल भी नहीं पा रहे हैं।" मंत्री ने निराशा व्यक्त की और मेहंदी से कहा कि उनके कद के व्यक्ति के लिए नशे में प्रदर्शन करना अनुचित था। मंत्री के हस्तक्षेप के दौरान मेहंदी धार्मिक और सांस्कृतिक सभा में प्रदर्शन कर रहे थे। मंत्री ने मेहंदी से मंच छोड़ने के लिए कहा, उनके प्रदर्शन की आलोचना की और इसे दर्शकों का अपमान बताया।
