अमेरिका ने ईरान के सात-दिवसीय सीज़फ़ायर प्रस्ताव को ठुकरा दिया है। अमेरिका का कहना है कि ईरान परमाणु वार्ता से पहले तुरंत प्रतिबंधों में ढील और जमे हुए धन तक पहुंच की मांग कर रहा है। अमेरिकी राजदूत Mike Waltz ने इस प्रस्ताव को 'एक कपटी प्रयास' बताया और ईरान के परमाणु कार्यक्रम को लेकर UN Security Council के प्रस्तावों के इतिहास का भी ज़िक्र किया। ईरानी विदेश मंत्री Araghchi ने अमेरिका के प्रस्ताव के ब्यौरे पर असहमति जताई और कहा कि ईरान कूटनीति के लिए खुला है लेकिन फिर से लड़ाई के लिए भी तैयार है। राष्ट्रपति Trump से उम्मीद की जाती है कि अमेरिका के मध्यावधि चुनावों के बाद बमबारी फिर से शुरू हो जाएगी।
