Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka were detained by Delhi Police on Tuesday while attempting to reach Jantar Mantar. This occurred just two days after their release by an executive magistrate, who had conditioned their freedom on maintaining peace and good behaviour for one year. The leaders had been preventively arrested ahead of a protest demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner over alleged voter roll irregularities.
