World number one Iga Swiatek has withdrawn from the Ningbo Open in China due to an injured left thigh. This decision significantly diminishes her chances of qualifying for the season-ending WTA Finals. Swiatek was competing for the final spot in the eight-player field against Karolina Muchova and Marta Kostyuk. She stated that resting and recovering from an ongoing thigh issue is the right decision for her health.
