Stalin stated that people are gripped by fear over inflation, rather than being in a festive mood. He advised against asking the Food Minister about the situation, suggesting the minister would claim everything is normal. DMK अध्यक्ष एम. के. स्टालिन ने मुख्यमंत्री सी. जोसेफ विजय से कहा है कि वे स्थानीय बाज़ारों और किराने की दुकानों पर जाकर ज़रूरी चीज़ों की बढ़ती कीमतों का असर समझें। स्टालिन ने कहा कि लोग त्योहारों के मूड में नहीं, बल्कि महंगाई के डर में जी रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि खाद्य मंत्री से इस बारे में पूछने का कोई फ़ायदा नहीं, वे तो कहेंगे कि सब ठीक है। स्टालिन ने यह बात गुरुवार, 15 अक्टूबर 2026 को सोशल मीडिया पर कही।
