Tamil Nadu has lifted the ban on mobile phones in 52 temples, allowing devotees to carry their devices. However, phones must be switched off upon entering the premises. Photography and videography remain strictly prohibited inside the temples. This revised rule follows an earlier ban implemented, which aimed to maintain the sanctity and peaceful atmosphere of the worship places. The government stated that violations of the new regulations will result in strict action, emphasizing the continued ban on capturing images or videos within the temple premises.
