Times of India · india

The Indian Air Force has agreed to immediately transfer 9 hectares of land for a new terminal building at Nagpur's Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. An additional 18 hectares will be provided by June 2028, as confirmed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis after a meeting with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This land handover is crucial for the airport's expansion, enabling the development of additional passenger infrastructure and increased capacity. The Maharashtra government and GMR Nagpur International Airport Ltd will support IAF operations and provide connectivity to the new defence site.
