Zimbabwean batsman Brian Bennett made history by scoring a century in his first Test match as captain at the age of 22. He achieved this remarkable feat against Afghanistan in Sharjah. Bennett's century, his third in Test cricket, came in the absence of the regular captain due to injury. His impressive innings, including a 137-run partnership with Brendan Taylor and a 96-run stand with Wesley Madhevere, helped Zimbabwe surpass 400 runs in their first innings. Bennett was eventually dismissed for 128, his second-highest Test score.
