Protesters in Hyderabad on Saturday demanded the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the scrapping of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Demonstrators alleged that the SIR process could lead to the exclusion of large numbers of voters. Organized by 12 groups, including the CJP and TPF, the protest also called for the Chief Election Commissioner's selection to include the Chief Justice of India.

हैदराबाद में शनिवार को प्रदर्शनकारियों ने मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त ज्ञान प्रकाश कुमार से इस्तीफे की मांग की और मतदाता सूची के स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन (SIR) को रद्द करने की भी मांग की। प्रदर्शनकारियों ने आरोप लगाया कि SIR प्रक्रिया से बड़ी संख्या में मतदाताओं के नाम सूची से हटाए जा सकते हैं। CJP और TPF सहित 12 समूहों द्वारा आयोजित इस विरोध प्रदर्शन में यह भी मांग की गई कि मुख्य चुनाव आयुक्त के चयन में भारत के मुख्य न्यायाधीश को भी शामिल किया जाए।
