Power Outage Halts Surgeries At Thrissur Medical College

Power supply to Thrissur Government Medical College has been disrupted since Thursday night due to a fault at the substation. This has forced authorities to suspend scheduled surgeries and other medical procedures. The college typically performs 20 to 24 surgeries daily, all of which are now on hold. While generator backup exists, it only powers essential areas and cannot support operating theatres. The prolonged outage is causing a serious disruption to services.

त्रिशूर गवर्नमेंट मेडिकल कॉलेज में गुरुवार रात से बिजली सप्लाई बंद है। सबस्टेशन में खराबी आने की वजह से ऐसा हुआ है। इस वजह से वहां होने वाली सभी सर्जरी और दूसरे मेडिकल ऑपरेशन फिलहाल रोक दिए गए हैं। कॉलेज में रोज़ाना 20 से 24 ऑपरेशन होते थे, जो अब नहीं हो पा रहे हैं। जनरेटर सिर्फ ज़रूरी जगहों पर ही बिजली दे पा रहा है, ऑपरेशन थिएटर तक नहीं। इस बिजली कटौती से मरीजों को काफी परेशानी हो रही है।
