Udupi Becomes Karnataka's First Fully Literate District

Udupi has achieved the distinction of becoming Karnataka's first fully literate district, with the state government officially confirming its compliance with central government literacy standards. Between 2022 and 2026, a total of 5,885 individuals were trained and certified as literate through various government programs across 155 gram panchayats and eight urban local bodies. The district's literacy rate now stands at an impressive 99.5%. The official announcement is slated to be made during the Karnataka Rajyotsava programme.

उडुपी कर्नाटक का पहला पूर्ण साक्षर जिला बन गया है। राज्य सरकार ने आधिकारिक तौर पर इसकी पुष्टि कर दी है कि यह केंद्र सरकार के साक्षरता मानकों को पूरा करता है। 2022 से 2026 के बीच, 155 ग्राम पंचायतों और आठ शहरी स्थानीय निकायों में विभिन्न सरकारी कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से कुल 5,885 लोगों को प्रशिक्षित और साक्षर प्रमाणित किया गया। जिले की साक्षरता दर अब 99.5% है। आधिकारिक घोषणा कर्नाटक राज्योत्सव कार्यक्रम के दौरान की जाएगी।
