India Doesn't Allow Monopoly; Satcom Licences Granted After Security Checks: Scindia

संचार मंत्री ज्योतिरादित्य सिंधिया ने कहा कि भारत में एकाधिकार की इजाज़त नहीं है, और तीन कंपनियों को सैटकॉम लाइसेंस दिए गए हैं। एलन मस्क की स्टारलिंक सहित ये कंपनियां, व्यक्तिगत सुरक्षा आवश्यकताओं और सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित लक्ष्यों को पूरा करने के बाद ही परिचालन शुरू कर सकती हैं। सिंधिया ने स्पष्ट किया कि सरकार प्रौद्योगिकी-तटस्थ है और ग्राहकों को चुनने के लिए विभिन्न प्रकार की सेवाएं प्रदान करना चाहती है। उन्होंने इस मुद्दे पर कांग्रेस पार्टी के रुख की भी आलोचना की, और उनकी स्थिति में कथित विसंगतियों को उजागर किया।
