The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has relocated President's Trophy Grade 1 matches from Peshawar and Abbottabad due to the imposition of governor's rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Escalating political tensions involving the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party led to the venue changes, disrupting the first-class competition's schedule. Matches in Islamabad and Rawalpindi will proceed as planned. The emergency was declared following presidential approval of the Prime Minister's cabinet recommendations, which also resulted in the detention of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister and some cabinet members.
