Times of India · business
Germany's Viessmann family, through its Viessmann Generations Group, has acquired a nearly 6.7% stake in football club Bayern Munich for approximately €250 million. This investment follows the family's sale of its heating business to Carrier Global for €12 billion in 2023. The deal makes Viessmann Generations Group the fourth outside shareholder in FC Bayern München AG, joining Adidas, Audi, and Allianz. The group, which continues to operate in other industrial sectors, views this as a long-term investment in one of Europe's major football clubs.
