Thousands Perform Rituals at Varanasi Ghats on Pitripaksha End

Thousands of people gathered at Varanasi's ghats along the Ganga and other sites on Saturday to perform 'pind-daan' rituals, marking the end of Pitripaksha. Simultaneously, preparations for Sharadiya Navratri commenced in various temples, particularly in Vindhyachal, Mirzapur. Officials, including senior police officers and district magistrates, were actively involved in managing crowds and traffic at these significant locations. Durga Puja organizers were also busy collecting idols for the upcoming festival. Pilgrims have already started arriving at Vindhyachal to participate in the nine-day Vindhya Mahotsava and witness the deity.

हजारों लोगों ने शनिवार को गंगा किनारे वाराणसी के घाटों और अन्य स्थानों पर पिंडदान अनुष्ठान किया, जिससे पितृपक्ष का समापन हुआ। साथ ही, विभिन्न मंदिरों, खासकर विंध्याचल, मिर्जापुर में शारदीय नवरात्रि की तैयारियाँ शुरू हो गईं। वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधिकारियों और जिलाधिकारियों सहित अधिकारियों ने इन महत्वपूर्ण स्थानों पर भीड़ और यातायात प्रबंधन में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। दुर्गा पूजा आयोजक भी आगामी त्योहार के लिए मूर्तियों को इकट्ठा करने में व्यस्त थे। नौ दिवसीय विंध्य महोत्सव में भाग लेने और देवी के दर्शन के लिए तीर्थयात्री पहले ही विंध्याचल पहुंचना शुरू कर चुके हैं।
