Indian Startup Launches First Orbital Computing Satellite

Indian space startup TakeMe2Space is set to launch the country's first orbital computing satellite on a SpaceX rocket on October 1. The MOI-1A satellite, weighing under 50 kg, will process data in orbit using Nvidia Orin NX processors before transmitting analysis back to Earth. This approach aims to reduce costs for customers by avoiding the transmission of large raw datasets. The company has already secured 23 customers across various sectors, including agriculture and insurance, and plans to develop larger, networked satellites in the future.
