Karnataka Extends Online RTI Filing To All Bengaluru, Karnataka, Grama One Centres

Karnataka has brought physical Right to Information (RTI) applications under the Sakala Services Act, 2011, and expanded online RTI filing to all Bengaluru One, Karnataka One, and Grama One centres. This initiative aims to enhance accessibility and transparency in the RTI process. Public authorities must now register physical RTI applications on the online portal within two days, with failure attracting Sakala provisions and potential compensation for applicants.

कर्नाटक सरकार ने सकला सेवा अधिनियम, 2011 के तहत भौतिक सूचना का अधिकार (RTI) आवेदनों को शामिल किया है और बेंगलुरु वन, कर्नाटक वन और ग्राम वन केंद्रों पर ऑनलाइन आरटीआई फाइलिंग का विस्तार किया है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य आरटीआई प्रक्रिया में पहुंच और पारदर्शिता को बढ़ाना है। अब लोक प्राधिकरणों को दो दिनों के भीतर भौतिक आरटीआई आवेदनों को ऑनलाइन पोर्टल पर पंजीकृत करना होगा, ऐसा न करने पर सकला प्रावधान लागू होंगे और आवेदकों को संभावित मुआवजा मिल सकता है।
