Tribal Children In Tamil Nadu Get Education

In Kodaikanal's Kombai-Perungadu tribal settlement, a "Saturday school" has transformed the lives of over 50 children. Two years ago, these children, like their parents, were expected to work in the fields. Now, they attend school, with one 5-year-old dreaming of becoming a police officer. The initiative, inspired by 82-year-old educator Padmini, offers integrated learning free of cost. This program provides first-generation learners access to education, breaking cycles of farm labour.

तमिलनाडु में आदिवासी बच्चों को शिक्षा मिली

कोडाइकनाल के कोम्बई-पेरुंगडु आदिवासी बस्ती में "शनिवार स्कूल" ने 50 से ज़्यादा बच्चों की ज़िंदगी बदल दी है। दो साल पहले, इन बच्चों से खेतों में काम करने की उम्मीद की जाती थी। अब वे स्कूल जाते हैं, और एक 5 साल का बच्चा पुलिस अफ़सर बनना चाहता है। 82 साल की शिक्षिका पद्मिनी से प्रेरित इस पहल में, बच्चों को मुफ़्त में पढ़ाई कराई जाती है। यह कार्यक्रम पहली पीढ़ी के बच्चों को शिक्षा देकर, खेती मज़दूरी के चक्र को तोड़ रहा है।
