Sanofi India Faces GST Notice For Rs 23.74

Sanofi India has received a show cause notice from Karnataka GST authorities alleging an excess input tax credit claim for the financial year 2022-23. The notice proposes a total demand of Rs 23.74 crore, including Rs 14.43 crore in tax and Rs 9.31 crore in interest. The company is currently examining the notice with its tax advisors and plans to submit a response within the stipulated time. Sanofi India stated that it does not anticipate any adverse financial or operational impact from this notice.
