DGCA Rules Out Pilot Duty Rule Changes From March 2027

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has informed airlines that no variations to pilot duty and rest rules will be permitted from March 2027. This marks the full implementation of the second phase of Flight Duty Time Limitations (FDTL). Airlines must now plan their crew rosters and operations to comply with these regulations. The FDTL rules aim to address pilot fatigue and enhance flight safety by setting limits on flight duty periods, night operations, and rest requirements.

नागरिक उड्डयन महानिदेशालय (DGCA) ने एयरलाइंस को बताया है कि मार्च 2027 से पायलट ड्यूटी और आराम के नियमों में कोई बदलाव नहीं किया जाएगा। यह फ्लाइट ड्यूटी टाइम लिमिटेशन्स (FDTL) के दूसरे चरण का पूरा कार्यान्वयन है। एयरलाइंस को अब इन नियमों का पालन करने के लिए अपने क्रू रोस्टर और संचालन की योजना बनानी होगी। FDTL नियमों का उद्देश्य उड़ान ड्यूटी अवधि, रात के संचालन और आराम की आवश्यकताओं को सीमित करके पायलट थकान को दूर करना और उड़ान सुरक्षा को बढ़ाना है।
