Hindustan Times · environment

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has reported to the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that over 59,000 metric tonnes of silt have been dumped at the Singhola site in the past year, despite it being cleared. The MCD plans to establish a 700-tonnes-per-day facility to process fresh waste and silt, aiming to remove accumulated material by November 2026. This dumping resumed due to pre-monsoon desilting operations, with only drain silt being deposited.

Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD)
