The commission found that the single-seater sofas delivered were 10 inches wider than the size specified by the furniture store. The buyer had ordered a three-seater and two single-seater sofas with specific dimensions and fabric. The store disputed the claim, stating the buyer was informed of the width change, but the commission ordered a full refund with interest and compensation. The store must also collect the oversized sofa set.

बेंगलुरु के एक शख्स को कस्टम सोफे के लिए 83,000 रुपये का भुगतान करने के बाद कंज्यूमर कमीशन ने 88,000 रुपये का हर्जाना दिया है। कमीशन ने पाया कि डिलीवर किए गए सिंगल-सीटर सोफे फर्नीचर स्टोर द्वारा बताए गए साइज़ से 10 इंच चौड़े थे। खरीदार ने तीन-सीटर और दो सिंगल-सीटर सोफे खास नाप और कपड़े के साथ ऑर्डर किए थे। स्टोर ने दावा किया कि खरीदार को चौड़ाई में बदलाव के बारे में सूचित किया गया था, लेकिन कमीशन ने ब्याज और हर्जाने के साथ पूरा रिफंड देने का आदेश दिया। स्टोर को बड़े साइज़ के सोफे भी वापस लेने होंगे।
