Madhya Pradesh Leads Punjab in Farm Fires; UP Trails Closely

Madhya Pradesh has surpassed Punjab in farm fire incidents this season, with Uttar Pradesh rapidly closing the gap. On Friday, Uttar Pradesh recorded nine cases, followed by six in Madhya Pradesh and two in Punjab. As of October 9, Madhya Pradesh leads with 194 cases, Punjab has 109, and Uttar Pradesh has 108. Enforcement actions in Punjab include FIRs, environmental compensation, and land record entries. Stubble burning has been reported from 80 districts across seven states, with Amritsar district seeing the highest number of incidents.
