Dibrugarh Resumes International Cargo Via Brahmaputra

Dibrugarh is set to resume international cargo movement through the Brahmaputra after nearly eight decades. Two vessels carrying 1,080 tonnes of methanol from Bogibeel to Bangladesh mark the beginning of commercial operations at the newly constructed inland water port. The methanol, produced by Assam Petro-Chemicals Limited, will travel approximately 783 kilometres to the Bangladesh border. This development revives Dibrugarh's historical connection with river-based trade and opens a new trade route for Upper Assam.

लगभग आठ दशकों बाद दिब्रूगढ़ ब्रह्मपुत्र के रास्ते अंतरराष्ट्रीय कार्गो की आवाजाही फिर से शुरू करने के लिए तैयार है। बोगीबील से बांग्लादेश तक 1,080 टन मेथनॉल ले जाने वाले दो जहाजों ने नए बने इनलैंड वॉटर पोर्ट पर वाणिज्यिक संचालन की शुरुआत की है। असम पेट्रो-केमिकल्स लिमिटेड द्वारा उत्पादित मेथनॉल बांग्लादेश सीमा तक लगभग 783 किलोमीटर की यात्रा करेगा। यह विकास दिब्रूगढ़ के नदी-आधारित व्यापार के साथ ऐतिहासिक संबंध को पुनर्जीवित करता है और अपर असम के लिए एक नया व्यापार मार्ग खोलता है।
