Highways Secretary Reviews Road Widening and ROB Projects in Vellore

Principal Secretary of Highways Department, Sung Chong Nam Zatak Siru, inspected ongoing road widening and Road Over Bridge (ROB) works in Vellore. The team assessed the quality of materials and progress on projects including the ₹102.83-crore Outer Ring Road and ROBs on the Katpadi – Tirupati rail line. Officials emphasized timely completion, with most works expected to be ready in a few months. The Secretary also directed measures to prevent waterlogging and maintain smooth road surfaces ahead of the monsoon.

राजमार्ग विभाग के प्रधान सचिव, सुंग चोंग नाम ज़टक सिरु, ने वेल्लोर में चल रहे सड़क चौड़ीकरण और रोड ओवर ब्रिज (आरओबी) कार्यों का निरीक्षण किया। टीम ने ₹102.83 करोड़ की आउटर रिंग रोड और कात्पाडी – तिरुपति रेल लाइन पर आरओबी सहित परियोजनाओं पर सामग्री की गुणवत्ता और प्रगति का आकलन किया। अधिकारियों ने समय पर पूरा करने पर जोर दिया, जिसमें अधिकांश काम कुछ महीनों में तैयार होने की उम्मीद है। सचिव ने मानसून से पहले जलभराव को रोकने और सड़कों की चिकनी सतह बनाए रखने के उपायों के भी निर्देश दिए।
