Human Faces Explored as Language of Memory and Identity in New Delhi Art Exhibition

An exhibition titled HEADS – Every Face Holds a Story recently concluded at Shridharani Gallery in New Delhi, exploring the human face as a language of memory and identity. The group show featured works by prominent artists including Anjolie Ela Menon, Arpana Caur, and Jatin Das, among others. Curator Amrita Kochhar aimed to present diverse artistic interpretations of the face, moving beyond simple portraiture to explore emotion, thought, and experience. The exhibition also held personal significance for Kochhar, being held in memory of her late mother.

नई दिल्ली की श्रीधरानी गैलरी में हाल ही में HEADS – Every Face Holds a Story नाम की एक प्रदर्शनी समाप्त हुई, जिसमें मानव चेहरे को याददाश्त और पहचान की भाषा के तौर पर दिखाया गया। इस ग्रुप शो में अंजोली इला मेनन, अर्पणा कौर और जतिन दास जैसे प्रमुख कलाकारों की कृतियाँ शामिल थीं। क्यूरेटर अमृता कोच्चर का उद्देश्य चेहरे की विविध कलात्मक व्याख्याओं को प्रस्तुत करना था, जो साधारण पोर्ट्रेट से आगे बढ़कर भावना, विचार और अनुभव को दर्शाती हैं। यह प्रदर्शनी कोच्चर के लिए व्यक्तिगत महत्व भी रखती थी, क्योंकि यह उनकी दिवंगत माँ की याद में आयोजित की गई थी।
